A Wesley Grammar School bus, carrying about 83 students, caught fire on Friday, November 28 at the Kasoa Tollbooth.
Eye witnesses said smoke was seen billowing from beneath the bus, causing all on board to rush out.
Efforts to control the ensuing flames proved futile as seats and educational materials belonging to the students were burnt into ashes.
There were five teachers on board when the incident occurred.
According to one of the teachers, they were en route Ngleshie Amanfrom SHS for their zonal games.
No casualties were recorded.
