Media General, parent body of TV3, 3FM, Onua FM, all in Accra, Connect FM in Takoradi and Akoma FM in Kumasi as well as 3news.com, has received four nominations for the 2nd edition of Women Choice Awards Africa 2020.
The companies personalities including Portia Gabor, Ayisha Yakubu, Berla Mundi and Anita Akuffo are among those who received nominations.
News 360’s Portia Gabor and Ayisha Yakubu have been nominated in the Journalist of the Year category.
Covid-19 360 presenters Berla Mundi and Anita Akuffo will face off for the Media Personality of the Year Award.
Gideon Raji, the CEO of Global Ovations, organizers of the awards,stated that “the Women Choice Award is to celebrate the achievement women”.
“We have realized that a lot of women are doing outstanding things but don’t have the platform to celebrate these achievements by these women.
“So we want these women to walk confidently knowing their choices are relevant.”
The event will come off Friday, October 2, 2020.
