For months, there have been speculations of award-winning radio and TV personality Berlinda Adardey, aka Berla Mundi, quitting EIB Network to begin a new chapter of her career with TV3.

Those claims were however debunked by her colleagues at GHOne TV.

But it is now confirmed! The award-winning bubbly presenter is finally exiting EIB after five years as a radio and TV show host. And her next destination is Media General.

In a long Instagram post Thursday morning, Berla extended profound gratitude to the CEO of EIB Network Bola Ray for harnessing her potential as an individual and a media personality.

‘’Dear @bolarayofficial and EIB, thank you; thank you for helping me discover my true self, harness my strengths and work on my weaknesses; thank you for providing the most convivial atmosphere to create lasting memories, glue tight bonds, endless, pure and genuine laughter; thank you for allowing me to share my God-given talent with millions of people across the world, she said in the post.

“Our journey together consisted of many good moments and I would forever be grateful because you taught me to always view the cup as half-full rather than half-empty. Just like every chapter, ours has come to an end much sooner than I would have wanted, but I would forever cherish the family you were to me.’’

“Thank you too, Berla Mundi. This is to wish you well in your next chapter. Keep soaring,” was the response from the CEO of EIB, Bola Ray under Berla’s post.

Prior to that, Berla told Graphic Showbiz that the decision to leave EIB, where she’s gained so much for the last five years, hasn’t been easy.

She said it was an honour to join Media General, and hopes to give out her best and unleash more of her talents.

‘’It’s been tough leaving behind the only media family I have ever known but risks have to be taken and this is one of them. Media General is a strong brand I’m thankful for the opportunity to join them and tap into that strength. I look forward to this family and the opportunities available to further grow. It’s an honour and I promise to give my best’’ Graphic Showbiz quoted her.

Berla disclosed in that interview that she will shoulder duties on both radio and TV at Media General, but indicated TV will take centre stage.

Shecalled on her fans to continue to support her in her new home, saying “To my viewers and those that supported me, continue to pray for me as I promise you an all new experience at my new destination’’.

A management member at Media General confirmed to www.3news.com Thursday that they have accepted Berla Mundi with open arms to add up to the positivity of the Media General brand.

According to the source, Berla will assume her new role at Media General in September where she will work on both radio and TV and also join the morning show as a host.
