A former TV3 broadcast journalist, Odilia Prempeh Agyeman, has been selected as a tutor for TV Production at this year’s International Careers Festival in Rome, Italy after competing hundreds of applicants for the position.

The International Careers Festival is scheduled to take off from Saturday, March 7 to Tuesday, March 10.

The International Careers Festival is a networking and meeting opportunity between brilliant young minds, institutions, companies, NGOs, and international organizations.

The 11th edition will take place within the beautiful framework of the city of Rome.

The key elements of the Festival are Guidance for an International Career – Simulations – Meetings with Industry Experts – Competitions with Thousands of International Students – Opportunities for a Successful Career – Honing Skills and Talent.

They are dedicated to YOUTH, EMPLOYMENT and INTERNATIONALIZATION.

The idea to create such a Festival was conceived by GIOVANI NEL MONDO, a non-profit association founded in Italy with the goal of promoting and favouring the interaction between the talent, ambition and brilliance of young people and the world of international opportunities. The Festival was born as an extension of the RomeMUN, first edition of which was launched in 2010. It is held every year with the support of such important institutions as the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Representation in Italy of the European Commission, Roma Capitale, the Lazio Region and the UN agencies of FAO, IFAD and the World Food Program.

The Festival is composed of four main projects from which participants can choose the one most suited to their academic background, professional aspirations or general interest.

The four projects are:

ROME MODEL UNITED NATIONS – Diplomatic simulation of the United Nations. Recommended for students of (or those interested in) international relations, diplomacy, political science, law. It is the largest UN simulation in Europe and one of the largest and most renowned in the world;

ROME BUSINESS GAME – Simulation of business realities involving case study competitions. Recommended for students of (those interested in) economics, business, management, marketing, computer science. In Italy this is the first case of a business simulation with a strong international stamp and an opportunity for internships and job placement;

ROME PRESS GAME – Journalism and media (web, tv, radio) simulation. Recommended for students of (or those interested in) communication, media, translation and interpretation, literature, philosophy. The only case in the world of a simulation entirely dedicated to those who want to make communication and mass media their own working future;

INTERNATIONAL CAREERS COURSE – A guidance course filled with practical workshops for a successful international career. Recommended for students from any faculty/academic background. It’s a unique opportunity to get in touch with experts in the world of recruitment and international relations able to give practical advice both in terms of orientation and access to the world of work.

There are a limited number of places for all four projects. In order to participate, you must complete the application form and pass the selection process. The application form can be found in the APPLY section of the website. The application process and selection procedure is the same for all four projects and more information can be found in the APPLICATION section of the website.

Furthermore, the Festival has an area which is entirely open to the public: the International Careers Fair. The Fair is a large exhibition area open to both participants and the public alike. It will be divided into two different sections: the education/university area and the work/internship area. It favours the interaction between thousands of students, whether they are looking for study/training/internship/work opportunities, and industry experts.

After the success of the first edition GnM association present again a partnership with Costa Cruise, all the ICF participants will have the opportunity if interested in to join also a one-week cruise in the Mediterrean See scheduled for 16-23 April 2020. During the Cruise GnM will select staff members for the 2021 edition and will organize one to one orientation workshops.

The Cruise on the beautiful Costa Pacifica ship will stop in some of the most beautiful cities of the Mediterranean. The Festival on Cruise course will last 7 days, with training and visits to the universities and international institutions, all at a very unbeatable cost thanks to the collaboration by GnM with Costa Crociere. Further information is available in this section.

This year, the festival had 35,000 participants which includes 650 volunteers, 400 universities, 200 partners and 110 countries.
