Connect FM’s flagship programme Omanbapa has been adjudged as the Programme of the Year at the Western Radio and Television Personality Awards held at the Takoradi Mall over the weekend.
The host of the morning show, Paa Kwesi Simpson, received an additional citation for his immense role in the media landscape in the Western Region.
The host of the Connect FM’s mid-morning programme Adwumapa Mmre, Nana Yaw Gyebi also emerged as the overall Radio Personality of the Year at the awards ceremony held on Saturday, November 21.
Icing on the cake for the night for Connect FM was the Best Producer Award, which went to the Producer of the Omanbapa morning show, Monica Dede Odonkor.
The event, which is in its third year, was organised by EX-One Entertainment based in the Western Region.
In all, over 30 media personalities across the region were awarded
All the award winners were given plaques and a 32″ flat screen television set each.
