South African music group Mi Casa says they represent authenticity and not about race or colour.
Speaking to Giovani on the 3FMDrive on 3FM, the trio, who are from different backgrounds but reside in South Africa, said their music has brought them together more as brothers than friends.
They stated that they don’t compete with other musicians but amongst ourselves to churn out the best musically.
Getting huge following around the world is their focus, they said, now that they have signed a double deal with Universal Music and Afro folks, which they believe will allow them to spread their message and music globally.
The trio, who were in Ghana about 5 years ago to shoot a music video, said they would love to work again with M.anifest since working with him was top-notch.
They also mentioned Efya, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie among artistes from Ghana they would love to collaborate with.
They indicated that they have their ears to the ground, so they monitor music from Ghana as well as from other parts of the world.
Mi Casa were on the urban lifestyle radio station as they premiered their new album ‘We Made It’.
This happens to be their 5th album in 10 years.
Mi Casa stated that this song is their 10th anniversary tribute to the world and also to celebrate the journey so far.
The trio have churned out hit singles like ‘These Streets’ taken from the album Mi Casa, which showcased the unique urban jazz sound of the band.
Mi Casa was in 2011, Su Casa in 2013, Home Sweet Home in 2015, Familia in 2017 and their latest ‘We Made It’ (2020).
They went on to advise fellow musicians and colleagues in the industry that if for unity, musicians should start focusing on their similarities instead of differences and also support brothers who are crossing borders and creating good music.
