Ghana player Samuel Tetteh has joined New York Red Bulls on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, pending receipt of his P-1 visa and ITC.
He will be on loan for the 2020/21 season with an option to buy.
Tetteh signed for Salzburg in 2016 and has made more than 100 appearances in the Austrian league, having been loaned to other clubs including Austrian sides FC Liefering and LASK.
Head coach of New York Red Bulls Chris Armas said he can’t wait to work with the 24-year-old.
“Samuel is a very interesting attacking player,” he said.
“He’s intelligent, he can create on his own and can stretch back lines with his speed. We know that Samuel has big potential and we are excited to get to work with him.”
Samuel Tetteh tweeted: “I am excited to be joining the New York Red Bulls.”
“I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and the fans and hopefully we can achieve great things together.”
When he joined LASK in 2018, he scored 19 goals and made 15 assists in 86 appearances.
Since he made his debut for the Black Stars in 2015, he has scored a goal in six appearances.
