Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has signed a new five-year contract with English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, extending his stay at the Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2030.
The 25-year-old forward, who joined the Cherries from Bristol City in January 2023, has become an integral part of the club’s attacking setup.
Semenyo’s performances in the 2024/25 season have been particularly impressive, with the winger scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. His contributions helped Bournemouth achieve their highest-ever Premier League points tally of 56 and match their best league finish of ninth.
In an official statement, the club said, “AFC Bournemouth is pleased to announce that Antoine Semenyo has signed a new long-term contract with the club, which runs until the summer of 2030.”
President of Football Operations at AFC Bournemouth, Tiago Pinto, expressed his delight with the player’s renewed commitment. “Antoine has been crucial to the club’s progress and is a key member of the project here at Vitality Stadium,” he said. “We have a great relationship with Antoine and we’re looking forward to continuing that as we hope to build on a record-breaking season. His commitment to the club matches our ambition and I’m excited to see what can be achieved as we prepare for the new campaign.”
Reacting to the contract extension, Semenyo shared his excitement about the future. “I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season,” he said. “From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner.”
Semenyo currently boasts 89 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries, scoring 22 goals and providing ten assists. Before joining Bournemouth, he featured for Bristol City and earlier had a stint with Bristol Rovers, where he tallied eight goals and 12 assists in 32 appearances.
On the international stage, Semenyo has made 27 appearances for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, scoring three goals. He is expected to play a key role for both club and country in the upcoming season, with pre-season preparations set to begin shortly.
