The Executive Women Network (EWN), an organization of women leaders, has empowered young women to be relevant in their chosen careers and also encouraged them to aspire to assume leadership positions.
In a round-table lunch at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, which marked the climax of the 2nd anniversary celebrations of the Network, a unique opportunity was created for young women to tap into the knowledge and experiences of senior women executives, who have excelled in their chosen fields.
Through interactions, members of the network shared with young women how they can rise and remain relevant and influential in high decision-making positions in the corporate world and society at large.
In attendance were Group Chief Executive Officer of Media General Pearl Esua-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Rabito Group of Clinics Karen Hendrickson and other top executive women in various industries.
Chief Executive Officer of Rabito Group of Clinics and member of the network, Karen Hendrickson, urged the young women who intend to climb the professional ladder to be prepared to break barriers that may inhibit them.
She also added that they must learn to develop a thick skin to absorb pressure and believe in their abilities. She said there is no room for them to reinvent the wheel as such they should not accept the status quo.
