Former TV3 Sports Station presenter Elloeny Amande has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Karela FC.
This announcement was made by the club’s board.
Mr. Amande, who is also a lawyer and a marketing expert with significant experience in sports, takes over the role ahead of the start of the new Ghana Premier League season.
Amande, who hails from Krisan in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region, says he is keen to bring all his years of experience to bear on the role to enhance the reputation of the club.
“As a son of the land, I am excited to be able to bring my expertise in marketing, media and law to help my home region club, Karela FC fulfill the objectives that the founders set for the club.
“I am grateful to the board for this opportunity to serve and I am confident that we will be successful on and off the pitch.”
He previously worked as a broadcaster with MultiMedia Ghana Limited and TV3, anchoring the company’s flagship sports program Sports Station for many years to significant success.
The Chairman of the Karela Board, Abena Brigidi, is confident Mr Amande’s appointment would consolidate the significant success the club has made so far.
“This club in its relatively young existence has had success and we believe that this appointment will further the tradition of sound management and development of our home region.”
The club has also appointed Nii Armah Ashong-Katai as its Communications Manager.
