The Australian High Commission of Ghana is set to organize an education exhibition for Ghanaian students on Tuesday, October 1.
Dubbed the ‘Australian Future Unlimited Education Exhibition’ and put together with support from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the exhibition will have some 18 Australian universities present to provide an opportunity for Ghanaian students to get acquainted with what studying in Australia entails.
Some of the participating Australian Universities include the Monash University, Australia National University, University of Tasmania, University of Technology Sydney, University of Western Australia, Victoria University and Western Sydney University.
Australia’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Andrew Barnes, encouraged persons interested in learning more about studying and living in Australia, including students, parents and counsellors, to attend the exhibition, and find out why Australia is becoming an increasingly popular destination for Ghanaian students.
“We are very pleased that Ghanaian students will have this opportunity to engage directly with some of Australia’s leading universities and institutions in Accra,” High Commissioner Barnes said.
“Australian institutions are amongst the leading education institutions in the world with 7 Australian Universities in the top 100, and they excel in many fields including Mining, Engineering, Agriculture, Public Health, Business, Science, Law and Hospitality.
“With a great range of institutions present at this annual exhibition, we believe students interested in postgraduate and undergraduate courses especially will find the exhibition worthwhile,” Mr. Barnes added.
Also present at the exhibition will be a representative from the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs, delivering presentations on the student visa application process, and able to talk to individuals who have any questions on this process.
