Mohammed Kudus has completed his medicals ahead of a summer move to Ajax in the Netherlands. Terms were agreed between all parties involved in a reported €9 million deal. After recording a reduced number of cases in the last update, Ghana’s Covid-19 case count has jumped up marginally again. The latest update, as given by the Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), sees 695 new cases recorded. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has adjourned the verdict on the case between Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer and the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Osei Palmer was disqualified from the GFA presidential elections by the then governing body of Ghana football, the Normalisation Committee, shortly before the polls. The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has rejected claims that it is using old biometric voter registration (BVR) kits in the ongoing voter registration exercise across the country. For the first time in a while, Ghana has recorded a reduction in the new number of cases of Covid-19. The latest update by the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) released on Thursday, July 16 sees the country report 178 new cases.
