Tanzania has banned three more Kenyan airlines as a standoff between the East Africa neighbours over Covid-19 escalates. The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) nullified the approval granted to Fly 540, Air Kenya Express and Safarilink Aviation. Two children have been caught for stealing GH¢150 and also poisoning the soup and water of one Godwin Martey at Sekyere-Krobo in Wassa East of the Western Region. The Roads and Highways Ministry has terminated the road contract between the government of Ghana and Messrs Engineers and Planners contractors. The contract, which had the contractors working on the Tamale-Salaga-Makango road in the Savannah Region, according to the Ministry, was ended based on what they described as unnecessary delays in its completion. In a letter dated August 17, 2020, the Ministry directed the Savannah Regional Highways Engineer to terminate the contract. Ivory Coast’s former President Laurent Gbagbo has been barred from running for the presidency in upcoming elections after a court upheld the electoral commission’s decision to remove him from the electoral list. His lawyer Claude Mentenon told AFP news agency that there was no further legal recourse inside Ivory Coast.
