The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has assured the public that it will make up for the time lost at registration centres where the exercise delayed on Sunday. Most centres across the country, at the start of Phase 3 of the exercise, witnessed delays as a result of the breakdown of the biometric voter registration (BVR) machines. The EC has explained that the challenge was due to bad network. All the students in the same dormitory with the Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS case confirmed Covid-19 positive will be tested on Monday, July 13. They have since been quarantined, according to the Headmistress of the School. The school recorded a case of Covid-19 on Friday after seven samples of girls who were suspected to have contracted the disease were tested. Eight vehicles were involved in an accident between Darkuman Junction and Dansoman Junction on the Odorkor-Kaneshie stretch of the Accra-Kasoa Highway. There was only one casualty who had a fracture at the knee. But all the eight vehicles were affected. The vehicles are DAF, Daewoo Matiz, Toyota Yaris and Toyota Haice. The rest were Kia Rio, Nissan Sentra, Toyota Rav 4 and a Kia Morning taxi cap. A team of 20 old boys of Accra Academy came together to purchase a Toyota Echo car for their former trainer, who did a lot for them back at high school.
