A bullion driver has been accidentally shot dead by a police officer at Manya Kpongnor in the Odumase Krobo District of the Eastern Region. Details were sketchy but police later confirmed that Constable Amidu Osman was involved in the incident and he is already assisting investigations. Constable Osman accidentally shot the driver of a Nissan bullion van with registration number GN 1630-12. Former Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Charles Yaw Aheto-Tsegah has expressed little surprise at the result of the 2018 West Africa Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). He says the results reflect the kind of education received by students over the period they were in the classroom. An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of the Nigeria Police Force appeared startled by the assault a Ghanaian police officer meted on a woman carrying a baby in a banking hall. WhatsApp has said it will limit how many times messages can be forwarded in India, to curb the spread of false information on its platform. The announcement comes after a spate of mob lynchings were linked to messages that circulated on WhatsApp groups. Former Minister of Finance Seth Emmanuel Terkper has admonished Ghanaian businesses not to rejoice yet over his successor’s announcement of no increase in the Value Added Tax (VAT) on Thursday.
