Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has commissioned a training institute for staff of the Ghana Education Service (GES), at Saltpond in the Mfantseman Municipal of the Central Region. Conceived by the Kufuor administration, the institute stared to be constructed in 2011 but was abandoned in 2012 by the previous administration due to lack of funds. The chiefs and people of Kandin in the Tatale-Sanguli District of the Northern Region are appealing to the government to supply the Kandin Health Center with an anti-snake syrum. According to them, the non-availability of the vaccine is making the treatment of snake bites a big challenge leading to many of them dying from the situation.
