Black Stars head coach Avram Grant and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have reached an agreement to mutually part ways. Grant’s two-year contract ended on November 30, 2016 but was extended to February 28, 2017 to allow him handle the Black Stars at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon. Ghana on Monday, February 6 began oral argument over the maritime border dispute case against neighbours La Cote d’Ivoire. The oral presentation is the beginning of a 10-day public hearing at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea(ITLOS) in Hamburg, Germany. Members of the Coalition of Unemployed Diploma Nurses and Midwives want to be posted before any contract is discussed as regards finances. Most of the members have been without stations since August, 2016 when they completed their national service. This batch of nurses and midwives completed their training in February, 2015. The European Union has committed €7 million to support the implementation of the third phase of the Ghana Skills Development Initiative (GSDI3). Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the parliament to extend his medical leave in the UK, amid concerns that his health may be worse than officials are publicly saying. The 74-year-old leader, who has been out of the country for two weeks, was expected to return to Abuja on Sunday.
