Minister-designate for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Samuel Kofi Dzamesi says the current monthly stipend to paramount chiefs and queenmothers is inadequate. He says if given the nod he will lobby for an increase in the amount. The BEIGE Group (TBG), a financial services provider, has announced the completion of its successful acquisition of Unique Life Assurance Company Limited (U-Life), a licensed life assurance firm in Ghana. MPs have overwhelmingly agreed to let the government begin the UK’s departure from the EU in their final vote on the Brexit bill. The draft legislation was approved by 494 votes to 122, and now moves to the House of Lords. Fourteen-time major winner Tiger Woods says he will “never feel great” again because of the number of injuries suffered during his career. Woods, 41, pulled out of the Dubai Desert Classic before the second round this month because of a back spasm. The new management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has with immediate effect withdrawn the appointment of staff employed in the final months of the Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte. “The decision has been informed by a thorough consideration of violations of due process prior to the recruitment,” a statement released by the recently appointed Executive Director, Mustapha Ussif, said.
