A tax expert, Dr. Ibrahim Bedi, has said government’s inability to mobilise enough revenue despite making some tax exemptions to allow businesses grow is due to failure to prioritise the right beneficiary businesses. Militants in north-east Mali have killed 49 soldiers in an attack on a military post, the army said in a Facebook post. This makes it one of the deadliest assaults of the past decade. In a tweet, the army described it as a “terrorist attack”. Mali has suffered violence since 2012, when Islamist militants took over the north of the country. A number of students in three senior high schools have been infected with flu suspected to be H3N2 in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region. The affected schools are Legacy Girls Senior High school, a private school, Krobo Girls Senior High school and Akuse Methodist Senior High Technical School.
