Misunderstanding has forced electoral officials to indefinitely suspend voting at two constituencies in the Ashanti Region in Saturday’s parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress. At the Kwadaso constituency, one of the aspirants, Khalid Alhassan Kusi, and some delegates protested the acceptance of the national voter’s ID card creating a misunderstanding. Boris Johnson has said he will press on “undaunted” with his Brexit strategy despite MPs backing the principle of a further delay to the process. Administrators of Technical Universities across the country will from Monday begin an indefinite withdrawal of services to push government to engage them in ongoing negotiations to fully migrate them onto the salary structure of public universities. A labour expert, Ben Arthur has appealed to government to increase the allowance being paid personnel of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo). Over 13,000 delegates of the National Democratic Congress are voting in 13 constituencies in the Ashanti Region today to elect parliamentary candidates in those areas for the party in the 2020 general elections. Five aspirants are going unopposed and per NDC rules, will be introduced to delegates as automatic candidates.
