A Retired Justice of the Supreme Court, William Atuguba has backed calls for the audit of the voter registers. To him, the call is to defend the constitution by insisting that the electoral commission does the right thing. Mr William Atuguba also expressed the view that auditing the voter register as is being demanded by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will answer all the questions asked against the register. Janet Nabla, the founder of the People’s National Party (PNP) has served notice to sue the Electoral Commission (EC) at the Supreme Court following her disqualification from taking part in the 2024 general elections. The EC announced her disqualification from contesting in the December 7, 2024, presidential elections in a statement on Friday, September 20.
