Residents of East Mamprusi are outraged after a seven-month pregnant woman was gang-raped by six armed men on the deteriorating Gambaga-Dagbriboari road in the North East Region. The woman and her husband were ambushed while returning from a check-up in Nalerigu. The attackers brutally assaulted the woman, beat her husband, and stole their motorbike and phones. A woman, believed to be in her forties has died after she was allegedly pushed out of a taxi by some unknown persons. According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened late in the evening of Thursday, August 15, 2024, between Star Junction and Agric Junction in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti region. The Ghana Police Service has interdicted two officers, Lance Corporal Philimon Agbevem and Lance Corporal Peter Gbadagbo, over allegations of extorting money from a motor pillion rider in Accra.
