The Ghana Police Service has commenced an investigation into an alleged attack on the convoy of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in Techiman, Bono East Region, on Monday, December 2, 2024. According to police preliminary reports, the incident occurred as the Asantehene returned from a funeral in Nkoranza. The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has criticised the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan for distributing food to security officials during the special voting exercise on Monday.
