Embattled General Secretary of the Peoples’ National Congress, Atik Mohammed on Monday defied his suspension by the National Executive Committee and reported to work at the party’s headquarters in Accra. Policy rate has been reduced to 21 per cent, thus a 150 basis point. This is the fourth time in the year that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Ghana has reduced its policy by 150 basis points to 21 per cent from 22.5 per cent.
