The Council of State through the Education Ministry has approved the constitution of councils for seven public universities in the country. This is in response to a two-week ultimatum issued by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) on Wednesday to government to form the governing councils for public tertiary institutions. Some staff of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) have petitioned the General Legal Council against lawyer Samson Lardy Anyenini for citing them in a suit against the agency without their consent. Okwawu United have been praised for their efforts in helping victims during Wednesday night’s accident involving Asante Kotoko’s team bus. The Police have placed a 10,000-cedi bounty on the head of two assailants who gunned down a police officer in broad day light at Lapaz on the N1 Highway in Accra Thursday.
