A four-year-old boy has been burnt to death in a fire outbreak at a house in Tarkwa in the Western Region. The boy, Walid Mohammed, said to be sick, was left in a room by his father who was taking care of him at the time. Mother of the child had left him in the care of his father who also left him in their room to buy something nearby. The executive committee of the Ghana Football Association has confirmed Kwesi Appiah as the coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars of Ghana. The Acting Director of Public Affairs in Parliament, Kate Addo has refuted reports that all Closed-Circuit Television cameras (CCTV) in the legislature are not working. Kate Addo insisted that there is nothing wrong with the cameras in Parliament and wondered why someone will peddle such falsehood. Government has given the green light to all health training institutions across the country to begin admission of persons wishing to pursue nursing and its related courses. A statement issued by the Ministry of Health to all principals of the various institutions read in part: “…applications into Health Training Institutions commences from April 3, to 29th May 2017”. The shooting of a teacher in Wa in the Upper West Region last Saturday has triggered protest against the Police in the regional capital, whose action the youth have condemned. The 24-year-old teacher, Ali Rashid, was shot at by a police officer who was stationed at the Wa main traffic light after he resisted arrest for ridding unregistered motorbike.
