Leader of the Minority in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has called on Ghanaians to push for “deeper electoral reforms” as parliament approves budgetary allocation to the Electoral Commission on Thursday. The Ashanti regional police command says it is in the process of building the docket of 14 suspects of pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, alleged to have assaulted the regional security coordinator, George Agyei. A local government expert has downplayed concerns that the law suit on the allocation of the district assembly common fund, will negatively affect the operations of the district assemblies. A contract worth GH¢255 million awarded by the John Dramani Mahama administration for the supply of farm inputs to cocoa farmers has been cancelled by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo upon the advice of the newly inaugurated Board of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
