The National Disaster Management Organisation has started renovating some school buildings destroyed by last week’s torrential rain within the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis that resulted in the death of a 12-year old boy. The Charismatic Bishops’ Conference has called for the full deployment of military personnel and equipment to wipe out the menace of armed robbery, which is threatening the country’s internal security. Transport operators have kicked against suggestion by the Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference that road tolls should be increased to $1.00 equivalent as an effective measure of raising revenue for various road projects.
