The form one student who attempted to murder his teacher at Birim in the Nsuta District of the Ashanti Region is wanted by the Police. The 16-year-old, Richard Koduah of the Birim B/A Junior High School, is said to have fled the town after the foiled murder and has since not been seen. Teachers in the school are now leaving in fear and some are said to be unwilling to attend classes until the boy is arrested. An economist, Courage Kinsley Martey, is warning Ghana’s economy is likely to be downgraded further by international rating agencies. His prediction is premised on the country’s rising debt. Small scale printing businesses, individuals and organisations wishing to use the Ghana@60 logo will not be charged or made to pay royalties for the patent, the 60th anniversary committee has announced. However, the Akosombo Textile Limited is the only textile company with the legal right to print the anniversary cloth for the celebration, which was unveiled in Accra Thursday. A woman who lost her newly born baby Tuesday due to what she claimed to be infection at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra has threatened to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion.
