A Nigerian soldier has opened fire at a military base in the north-eastern state of Borno, killing a fellow trooper and a humanitarian worker. A UN helicopter pilot was severely injured. South African police have arrested an Israeli fugitive, who they describe as Israel’s most-wanted gang leader. He was picked up in a suburb of Johannesburg together with seven others during an early morning house raid, according to a police statement.
