Former President John Dramani Mahama has called for a complete cancellation of the Agyapa Mineral Royalties agreement after the Special Prosecutor released his report on the deal. Mr Mahama said the deal is bad, therefore there is no need to implement it. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, to return the agreement to Parliament. Former President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed the description by Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu that he is the one referred to as Government Official 1 in the Airbus scandal. Finance Minister Mr Ken Ofori Atta has said the Ministry lawfully appointed Imara TA for the transaction of the Agyapa deal, in compliance with Act 921, Act 663 (as amended), and the Constitution of Ghana.
