The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has begun the process of introducing Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in domestic competitions. Members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament have expressed their dissatisfaction over the failure by management of Lands Commission to collect over GHS1.6 million as ground rent. According to the 2017 report of the Auditor General, 483 lessees or assignees owed ground rent totaling Ghc1.6 million for the period December 1975 to December 2015. The report said lessees at East Legon owed GHS 251,344 between 1975 to 2015. A US-based Ghanaian professor, Kwaku Asare, has noted that the promise made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in their 2020 manifesto regarding legal education in Ghana is a step in the right direction. The Ghana Aids Commission has appealed to corporate Ghana and the general public to support them with funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Director-General of Ghana AIDS Commission, Kyeremeh Atuahene, speaking to the press after appearing before the Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) said its activities have been adversely affected due to the lack of funds. The National Identification  Authority (NIA) has said its mop-up registration exercise which started on August 24 in the Greater Accra Region, will end today Tuesday, September 8 at 5:00pm. However, the NIA said, issuance of printed cards will continue at all registration centres till Friday, September 11.
