An economist, Professor Peter Quartey, has expressed optimism that economic activities will fully bounce back before the end of the year following the reopening of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA). General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said the just-ended voter registration exercise carried out by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) will go down in history as, by far, the most violent registration exercise ever conducted in the Fourth Republic. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Ray Ankrah, has attributed the GH¢216 million revenue losses experienced by the company during the 2014/2015 crop season to big drop in the gross profit percentage. The Government of Ghana has engaged some Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on the Agyapa Mineral Royalties agreement. The CSOs had vehemently opposed the deal, saying it lacked transparency and did not serve the interest of Ghana.
