The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has confirmed the arrest of 12 Burkinabe and 3 Nigeriens who entered Ghana illegally at a time the borders have been closed in the wake of the Covid-19. According to GIS, the West African nationals were intercepted at the Hamile District Assembly Barrier while onboard a passenger bus with registration number GN-2357-10. The Government of Ghana has taken a decision to exclude all security agencies in the country from the unification of pension schemes in the country. They are expected to remain on their already existing pension programme like the Cap-30 and the other pension programmes. Parts of the Ghana Police Hospital in Accra will be shut down on Friday, August 21 to allow a fumigation exercise to take place.
