Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed that the Akufo-Addo administration is adopting a two-way approach towards infrastructural development in the country. Staff of the Head of State Award Scheme Ghana (HoSA) under the leadership of its Executive Director has donated 500 re-usable masks to the Senior Correctional Center (400 pieces) and the Shelter for Abused Children (100 pieces) in Accra. The masks were made by young award participants as part of the ‘Skill Section’ requirement of the award scheme and are to be used by both inmates and staff of the two institutions. Host of TV3’s New Day Berla Mundi has shared her findings into a research she did on witches’ camps in the northern part of the country. She revealed that men who are accused of wizardry in that part of the country are purified and declared clean to enable them return to the society to continue their daily routine activities. Fire has razed down a five-bedroom house at Nkenkensu in the Offinso North District in the Ashanti Region on Monday, August 17. A three-year-old girl lost her life in the inferno. The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) said the young girl was burnt beyond recognition. The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has said on Tuesday, August 18 that the country has recorded nine new Covid-19 deaths, taking the number of deaths relating to the virus to 248.
