The National Youth Organiser for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has on behalf of the party, apologised for the cancellation of the teacher trainee allowances while Mr John Dramani Mahama was in office. He assured the people of Ghana that if elected again, Mr Mahama will not repeat such a decision. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will in the coming days unveil an upgraded version of the 2010 National Youth Policy. Estimates from satellite data show global gas-flaring increased to levels not seen in more than a decade to 150 billion cubic meters (bcm), equivalent to the total annual gas consumption of Sub-Saharan Africa, the World Bank has said.
