The National Peace Council (NPC) has called on the police to quicken the investigations being conducted into the circumstances that led to the violence associated with the just-ended voters registration exercise. Three persons are reportedly dead with several others injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday, August 16 at Yeboah Apatem, near Akumadan, on the Kumasi-Techiman highway. The three persons included a man from Europe. The injured were sent to health facilities in the Ashanti and Bono regions. The police said in a statement that the accident involved a Mitsubishi Pajero car and a Ssanyong minibus. Ghana international, Bernard Mensah, has completed his long loan move to Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas from his parent club Kayserispor.
