The Bureau of Public Safety has expressed concerns over recent reports of military grade grenade explosion at South La Beach in Accra. The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has said on Wednesday August 12 that the national year-on-year inflation rate was 11.4% in July 2020, which is 0.2 percentage points higher than last month. Month-on-month inflation between June 2020 and July 2020 was 0.5%. This is lower than the 1.0% recorded between May and June, the 1.7% recorded between April and May and the 3.2% between March and April 2020. The average month-on-month inflation recorded in the months October 2019 to March 2020 was 0.7%. The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has said there are minors, foreigners and other ineligible voters on the new voters register. The Coalition of Election Observers (CODEO) has rated the compilation of the new voters roll by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana 80 per cent.
