The Supreme Court has adjourned indefinitely the case involving chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo. This was after it came to the notice of the court that the bailiff failed the serve the NDC and its chairman with the notice of hearing. The five-member panel presided over by Justice Victor Jones Dotse also directed that the appropriate sanctions should be instituted against the bailiff for his inability to serve the applicants. Parents and guardians who have children in Senior High Schools in the Western Region have been urged to be calm over the reported cases of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in some schools. The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has explained that it is not automatic that there would be extensions in all the registration centres across the country. The EC says some registration centres have fewer voting population and if the number of people in a particular centre has been exhausted, there is no need to extend the period at these centres. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sued the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) in a latest case, challenging the Commission’s decision to register Senior High School students who are currently on campus.
