Delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Salaga South constituency of the Savannah Region have met to confirm incumbent Member of Parliament, Adam Salifu Braimah, to contest on the ticket of the party in the December parliamentary polls. Mr Braimah who is also the Regional Minister, is expected to be confirmed by some 493 delegates. China has charged two Canadians with spying, more than 18 months after they were detained. Michael Kovrig, a former diplomat, and Michael Spavor, a businessman, have been held in China since December 2018. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has signed an Executive Instrument criminalizing non-wearing of face mask in public places across the country, with offenders facing a jail term of up to 10 years. A 30-year old teacher who sodomised a 12-year-old boy has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court. A taxicab driver yet to be identified died instantly after a tree fell on his car Thursday evening in Kumasi. The incident occurred during a downpour accompanied by strong winds. He was said to parked his car close to the trees few meters away from the Asanteman Senior High School when the tree fell on the car and trapped him inside . His body has been recovered by passers-by and conveyed to the mortuary. The mangled care has also been towed to the Suame Police station.
