The first novel coronavirus case has been reported at the Kumasi Central Prison in the Ashanti Region. An inmate who was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after he fell sick two weeks ago tested positive for the virus. The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako Attah has asked the Ghana Highway Authority to terminate and blacklist contractors who are delaying in executing their contracts. More than 200 boxes of government subsidised farm inputs including spraying machines and weedicides, which were being smuggled into neighbouring Togo, have been intercepted. An intelligence-based operation by the Ghana Immigration Service led to the seizure of the inputs at the Saboba border.
