Management of the University of Education Winneba (UEW) in the Central Region has put in place a standby medical team to attend and manage any positive case of the deadly novel coronavirus on its campus at Ajumako. “We have medical personnel on standby who will attend to any student who may test positive for the covornavirus,” he said. The Minister for Roads and Highways Mr. Amoako Attah says a total of 65 roads covering 916 kilometers are under construction in the Northern region. He mentioned that procurement processes for 80 roads are ongoing. The minister was in the region to inspect some road constructions in the Northern and Savannah regions. The Circuit Court in Sekondi has remanded an Islamic Scholar Abubakar Mustapha, popularly known as Mallam Bawa who is suspected to have cut off the finger of an 18-year-old boy. In a damning court affidavit, the police in Lesotho say they have evidence that former Prime Minister Thomas Thabane and his current wife Maesaiah Thabane paid assassins to kill Mr Thabane’s estranged wife in 2017. Lipolelo Thabane was shot dead on the eve of Mr Thabane’s swearing in as prime minister.
