Family and friends of Benjamin Okyere, an up-and-coming musician who was allegedly shot and killed by his landlord, Victor Stephen Nana Kankam, have besieged the Abeka District Court to demand justice. His brothers and friends got infuriated when they saw the accused brought to the court in an air-conditioned vehicle. The landlord, who shot and killed Benjamin for refusing to vacate his rented room, was remanded into place custody last week. Stranded Ghanaians in the UAE will be airlifted to Ghana, effective Friday, June 12, 2020, Embassy officials reportedly told Daily Mail GH. Another flight will also head into the West African country on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
