The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has shot down an invitation by the Parliament of Ghana to appear before the house on June 9 to brief the legislature on its plans for the upcoming December polls. The Chief Imam of the Shia Community in Tamale in the Northern Region says they will rescind an earlier decision to attend Jummah on Friday following the easing of restrictions on religious activities. The timely response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) saved a burning petrol tanker from exploding at Gomoa Buduata. African innovators have shown creativity and ingenuity in finding solutions to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, but face legal barriers to safeguarding their intellectual property.
