The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has described as premature a petition by the Minority in Parliament sent to the Auditor-General to conduct a special audit into some ¢280.3 million which the government allocated for relief items during the Covid-19 lockdown. The Circuit Court in Tamale presided over by William Appiah Twumasi has sentenced Sulemana Danaa, age 25, to ten years imprisonment for defiling a two year old girl at Kumbungu in the Northern Region. He was convicted after pleading guilty to the defilement charge put against him. The recent rains in parts of the country, have caused havoc in the Krowor Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. Vehicles and shops were damaged by the rains but there was no human casualty in the Municipality. In an area called Nungua C5, five cars and six shops were damaged.
