The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) says members have been yearning for increment of transport fares ever since the presidential directive on coronavirus pandemic forced them to reduce the number of passengers. According to the Union, that reduction has affected revenue of members greatly, which it said calls for an increment in transport fares. Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) says it will begin spilling excess water from the Weija Dam as part of routine measures to safeguard it. This is as a result of the fact that the dam level has risen from 37ft to 47.9ft within two days. “The safe operating level of the dam is 47ft.
