The Vice Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers, Napoleon Agyemang Oduro has said the industry needs massive funding and incentives from government to save and sustain the country’s poultry industry. Domestically produced broiler meat has fallen from nearly 60 percent of all poultry consumed in Ghana since 2000 to less than 5 percent as at 2020. The president of Tanzania says he will send a plane to Madagascar to import a herbal tonic which has been touted as a cure for coronavirus by the country’s president. The Somanya District Magistrate Court has granted bail to 14 persons from Sawer, a suburb of Somanya in the Eastern region for breaching the ban on public gathering. They have been asked to reappear in court on Monday. Government has initiated processes to construct a permanent concrete bridge over the Chemu Lagoon to connect Ablekuma West and Ablekuma South constituencies in Accra after the only bridge on the lagoon was swept away last week.
