Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has said dozens of people who were filmed escaping from mandatory quarantine in the capital, Nairobi, will be arrested and returned to finish their isolation period. Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, has revealed that about 15, 000 are likely to die from the novel Coronavirus. This, according to him is based on a model generated for the coronavirus infections in Ghana. Six persons who attended a birthday party at First Junction in Teshie during the lockdown period have been sentenced to a total fine of GH¢86,400 after appearing before an Accra Circuit Court. Test results for two persons in the Northern Region have proven positive for Covid-19 through community infection.
