Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has said dozens of people who were filmed escaping from mandatory quarantine in the capital, Nairobi, will be arrested and returned to finish their isolation period. The president spoke on Wednesday morning, just hours after the video was shared online. It showed some people jumping over a perimeter wall at one of the quarantine centres. Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, has revealed that about 15, 000 are likely to die from the novel Coronavirus. This, according to him is based on a model generated for the coronavirus infections in Ghana. Test results for two persons in the Northern Region have proven positive for Covid-19 through community infection.
