Cases of coronavirus in Ghana is steadily rising as the country records yet another two cases in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, bringing the national tally to 11 in a week. The new cases were confirmed by the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) and announced by health officials Thursday afternoon, barely seven hours after two cases were announced. Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party has called for an end to the wide speculations on the possibility of the party to hold its parliamentary primaries in the wake of the deadly COVID-19. Formula 1 teams are working with government and health authorities to increase the supply of ventilators during the coronavirus crisis. Ventilators are a device used to help supply more air to patients with breathing difficulties, one of the effects of severe coronavirus symptoms. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has filed a suit in the Supreme Court challenging the Electoral Commission (EC)’s intention to use the Ghana Card and the Ghanaian passport as the only identification documents for the upcoming voters registration exercise. Fifteen of the 19 people who developed symptoms of the novel coronavirus after coming in contact with persons affected by the deadly virus have tested negative, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
