The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment NaCCA) has begun a five-day workshop in the Eastern Region to review the draft B7 to B10 subject curricula for the Common Core Programme (CCP) that will be introduced in September 2020. The reviewers are expected to incorporate feedbacks received from all stakeholders and educational experts. The year-on-year inflation rate for January fell slightly to 7.8 percent from 7.9 percent recorded in December 2019. The month-on-month inflation between December 2019 and January 2020 was 1.4 per cent. Professor Samuel Kobina Annim, the Government Statistician, said the contribution of food to inflation had increased while that of housing fell during the period. The Greater Accra Regional branch of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) says it has entered into an agreement with the U.K High Commission Department of International Trade. An Accra High Court has granted bail to the founder of the defunct UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng and five others facing trial for the collapse of the bank. The six accused have, among other offences, been charged with fraudulent breach of trust, deceit of a public officer and fabrication of evidence. Nine persons standing trial before an Accra high Court for the collapse of unibank Ghana limited have been granted a 60 million cedis bail with three sureties, two were to be justified. The nine are to also deposit their passports to the registrar of the court.
